The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and driven Technical Program Manager to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge energy storage solutions. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and delivering complex engineering projects related to our innovative battery energy storage systems (BESS). You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

The Role

  • Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year
  • Location: In-person, Moment Energy Coquitlam Office

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects related to battery energy storage systems (BESS) development and deployment.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Track resourcing of projects & drive resource balancing between different program priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and testing, to ensure project success.
  • Identify team priorities & motivate the project team to complete critical tasks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage communication and documentation related to projects, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
  • Own communication of changes between design, supply chain, production, and product teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

The Candidate

We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management or project management, preferably in the energy storage, renewable energy, automotive, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, particularly related to electrical systems, battery technology, and energy storage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex technical projects involving hardware and software development.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus.
