The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager will play a critical role in driving organic search performance across Canyon Ranch’s digital properties. This position is responsible for optimizing online visibility, increasing organic traffic, and delivering measurable results. The SEO Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that align with our brand goals and growth targets.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE

  • SEO Strategy Development & Execution: Design and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
    • Identify opportunities for optimization across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
    • Stay current on new Google SERP features and packs; develop strategies to be first to market on new features.
    • Manage Google Business Listings; develop strategies for top placement on Map pack. Develop strategies for utilization of AI in Organic Search rankings.
  • Keyword Research & Content Optimization: Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and trends relevant to wellness, hospitality, and luxury audiences.
    • Guide content teams on SEO best practices, ensuring content aligns with target keywords and user intent.
    • Develop ad-hoc and monthly insights for programming and content teams to leverage latest wellness search trends. Conduct competitor analyses to identify opportunities for growth and monitor market trends.
  • Technical SEO Management: Collaborate with the product team to audit and optimize website performance (page speed, crawl errors, mobile-friendliness).
    • Monitor and resolve issues related to indexing, site structure, and canonical tags.
    • Stay current on Google & Safari ranking updates, Core Web Vitals and AI impacts to rankings.
  • Content Strategy Support: Provide input on content calendars and campaigns, leveraging SEO insights to drive topic selection and format decisions.
    • Work with writers, designers, and marketers to ensure content is SEO-friendly while maintaining the Canyon Ranch brand voice.
    • SEO Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics (traffic, keyword rankings, click-through rates) using tools like Google Analytics, MOZ/STAT, and Search Console.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Education: Partner with marketing, development, and editorial teams to implement SEO recommendations.
    • Educate internal teams on SEO trends and best practices to align efforts.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Prior knowledge of position/industry with 3-5 years of previous experience in same or related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct keyword research, content optimization, and link-building strategies.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience optimizing for cotent marketing, keyword strategy, mobile, Core Web Vitals, and site performance.
  • Proven ability to analyze SEO data and provide SEO Reporting into actionable results.
  • Experience with website migration – particularly preserving SEO link equity and maintaining stabile rankings is a plus.
