WICZ-TV - Fox 40 News is looking for a part-time Production Assistant at our station in Binghamton, NY. WICZ is owned by Imagicomm Communications.

Position Profile:

• Who does the position report to? Technical Director and News Director
• What are the key responsibilities of the role? Assist with preparation of newscast and perform various tasks during broadcasts

Responsibilities:

• Shoot, edit, and transfer video for local newscasts
• Work closely with the news team and assist with various tasks to execute broadcasts (printing scripts, checking equipment)
• Assist MMJ's and anchors with editing
• Work alongside technical director during newscasts as graphics operator using Xpression or audio supervisor, and assist with live hits
• Learn how to technical direct and edit for news

Requirements

• Must be available nights and weekends
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Premiere Pro
• Knowledge Ross (Inception) strongly preferred but not required
• Must be able to manage time, remain calm under pressure and work well with members of the newsroom under tight deadlines
• Must have a positive attitude
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Salary: $16.25/hour
