Job Title: eDiscovery Operations Support Specialist Work Location: Charlotte, NC (3-days on-site, 2-days WFH) Job Description: The eDiscovery Operations Support Specialist provides essential support to the eDiscovery Operations Legal Team, focusing on data identification, collection, and transfer. This role involves utilizing eDiscovery and computer forensics techniques and tools to ensure the quality and integrity of processed data across various stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) project workflow.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with the global eDiscovery team to execute requests for data identification, collection, and transfer in response to litigation and regulatory matters.
- Manage a portfolio of cases, overseeing the complete data collection process from initiation to delivery.
- Conduct thorough custodial research to identify and collect required data sources per case specifications.
- Perform data collections from critical enterprise sources such as Microsoft 365 Exchange, SharePoint, and others.
- Execute queries and participate in quality control checks to maintain data integrity.
- Perform internal data transfers, conduct quality assessments, and ensure readiness for delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve collection failures and errors promptly.
- Meet established productivity targets on a daily and weekly basis.
Job Requirements: Required Skills: - 1-3 years of experience in electronic discovery or related IT fields.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-service oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel for reporting.
Desired Skills: - Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including Microsoft Purview.
- Familiarity with data acquisitions or Cyber Forensics tools/processes.
- Background in Legal, Regulatory, or Compliance environments.
- Familiarity with Ex-Merge, EnCase, SQL, Robocopy, or ability to quickly learn new software tools.
- Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
Additional Skills: - Familiarity with computer operating systems and networking.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Capacity to manage priorities within shifting deadlines and dynamic customer requirements.
- Strong team collaboration and independent task management skills.
